DescriptionJust back from Terrificon, where I acquired this stunning History of the DCU splash page from Jerry Ordway. A very unusual occurrence since, as some of you may know, Jerry almost never sells his published pages. Amazing page with the JSA (Dr. Mid-Nite, Mr. Terrific, Amazing Man, Wonder Woman, Wildcat) trapped by Baron Blitzkrieg, Brain Wave, Red Lantern, Wotan, Solomon Grundy and Johnny Sorrow.Social/Sharing |

Congratulations Steve. This drawing is so amazing. Ordway at the top of his game. The drawing and inking are flawless, and it has Solomon Grundy on it!

Ordway's greatness shines when he's given these characters with ties back to the golden age history of DC! It has just the right amount of heroism and virtue of those heroes brought to the modern age.

Wow, this is GORGEOUS! What an absolutely incredible JSA score! Very surprising that you got it directly from Jerry, indeed! Did he bring a little stack with him? I assume he only brought other more recent pages?

Ruben, he did bring a small stack, but only the pages he drew from New History of the DC Universe. He said another collector had been bugging him about these pages so, on a whim, he brought all the pages he drew for the book. No others, though.

Thanks, Steve, that's what I figured. Amazing that someone else bugging him about it resulted in you getting a GREAT piece!
