Description"KA-DOOM!"From the opening chapter of the "Death of Superman" storyline, a major event in comics history. This issue is the first full appearance of Doomsday, the villain who would kill Superman. Doomsday appears in every panel here, causing massive destruction and carnage. He's in his famous green suit and still restrained by his burial cables. The "Death of Superman" storyline opens with a bang in this issue -- foreshadowing the impending chaos to be brought upon the DC Universe. The sound effects used in this story are some of my favorites in all of comics and there are some great ones on display in this page! Social/Sharing |

It's pretty old school when we didn't even know of Doomsday's importance and significance in ushering in the 90's comics boom!

Anything from the nineties is pretty old now.

Is Superman dead? No he was only joking and so were DC. Still a fantastic piece of comics history. Never has so much wool been pulled over so many eyes.

We love tall tales. It's the backbone of the entertainment industry. Were you not entertained by the people hoping to get rich off Superman 75?

I was. I still am. It's the little things in life that make you laugh, like the profit they made. Death of the Human Torch? Death of The Flash? Death of Captain America? I could go on and on. Is that a dead Phoenix I see before me...Again? Appropraitely named, methinks. Sadly, most comics are horrible investments. Lol. "I gots them to look at the purdy pictures, ah reckon."

We get inroduced to the new villain, 'Hunf?Har! Ka-Doom!' Even by Kryptonian standards that's a pretty wacky name.
