DescriptionBeing a sucker for both Chris Sprouse art and these furry little fighters , I knew that I had to have this cover the first time that I saw it and that id drive all the way to Endor to get it!Luckily for me, I only had to drive about 15 mins. I met Sprouse at Cracker Barrel and we had the most amazing 2 hour conversation about everything from Star Wars to Michael Golden art. Chris is one of the true gentlemen of the industry and the man works magic with a pencil. Do yourself a favor and add a Chris Sprouse to your collection today! Social/Sharing |

wow! You only live 15 mins from Endor!? I love that for you! Absolutely love this awesome Ewoks ROTJ anniversary variant and it sounds like a great hang/meet up with Chris to obtain it. Well done on both accounts and congrats!

Thanks a bunch, Kavi!
It was great to leave my little village hidden in the tree tops and travel to the Cracker Barrel to meet up with Chris.
Its experiences like this that make collecting so much fun!

Sprouse always takes into consideration of what the characters are and what message they send in his covers. You can see he takes the Ewoks seriously as a noble tribal society as hunter / gatherers before they were turned into plushies and toys. This has the same level of attention that Al Williamson gave to the property.

You've made a major point that I haven't really ever thought about. It is rare that you ever see the Ewoks taken seriously. Most of the time they are drawn and marketed with an aim for a younger audience, forgetting the fact that they should be taken very serious on the chance that you'd ever come upon a tribe of them in the wild.
