Description

I was planning to wait a little while before posting another Dazzler piece, but then this arrived at my house and I wanted to post it right away.

I enjoyed Adam Pollina’s work on X-Force, Rise of Apocalypse and other books back in the day, so I happily signed up for his most recent commission list. I thought his art style would be great for Dazzler in her classic disco look, and that turned out to be quite correct.

Adam told me that this was the first time that someone requested Dazzler from him, and he really went above and beyond to create this wonderful piece that conveys the energy of what it must be like to be in the crowd for one of her shows.

Very cool Dazzler piece, Adam went all out on this! The details in that packed crowd watching her performance with more figures than I can count takes the piece up a notch. congrats on the great result!

What can be more beautiful than Dazzler on the Stage??? I love the way that Pollina designed this piece of art! That Dazzler fron shot with the multitude behind is sooo amazing! Huge congrats!!!

There are two things I love about this piece. First, that he drew her with an A-cup, going against the usual comic book norms. But especially the crowd scene behind her. Each person in the crowd is lovingly illustrated as a real individual person, with their own personality and look. WOW!

Adams a straight killer. Theres a TON of personality in that crowd. And Dazzler takes her place as their queen. What a fantastic addition to the collection!

I too loved his X-Force run. Wow, no cutting corners on that one. What works best for me is the contrast between her and the crowd and how it serves to highlight her as the center (stage).
