DescriptionThis early '90s Guardians Of The Galaxy title was one of my favorite reads when I got back into comics around this time.Being able to grab a page from the #1 issue makes my heart go flippety flop, especially given that it features a battle between three of the original team members vs TASERFACE! Love that 1st panel of Charlie-27. And how cool to have Yondu doing his special whistling trick with his trick arrow. Nikki Gold is tiny, but she's there in the last panel! Very special! Number one issue battle page! Valentino and Montano made a whole generation from the 90's care about the team and we still got nostalgia for this iteration even after the movies built another more famous line up of the team.

The original GotG were a wonderful cast of characters. Such great potential only partially exploited by the Valentino series. In any case, great action page. Marvel, bring them back ASAP!

I am not really picking up the Hembeck style in this one. It must be one of his earlier works. ;)
