Description

I usually wait to receive these in the mail before posting, but this one's too good and Simon was kind enough to send a scan so here goes: Nausicaä in Simon's signature style.

Simon has been on my Miyazaki commission wishlist/bucket list from the very start, you won't find much better out there than his recent Sunburn imo, so when he shared a recent Usagi commission I felt encouraged to reach out and see if he was accepting any more.

Luckily, the answer was yes. We briefly discussed which subject he'd like to tackle and while I didn't specifically request my personal favourite, Nausicaä, Simon was drawn to her as he recalled picking up
the first translated Viz issue with the Moebius poster as a teenager.

The final result is simultaneously a collage of different elements that struck him while rereading the manga and a nod to the now iconic Moebius illustration.

Sparkles with magic to do justice to one of Miyazaki's greatest achievements! Themes of spirits, nature, healing, and peace from the manga and the anime inspired Gane for this piece.
