Description

My latest commissions gallery entry is for client Damon Owens, his 132nd, where he had Gordon Purcell reinterpret a page from Hercules: Adventures of the Man-God from Charlton Comics by artist Sam Glanzman. Damon has had me ink 2 commissions with this version of Hercules on his "End of Days" themed commissions over Dario Carrasco Jr and Ron Joseph, so this is my 3rd time with this character, but the first time in a solo adventure as opposed to the others where he was part of a group scene. While this is my first commission over the pencils of Gordon Purcell, I've inked him for publisher IDW on a few pages to Star Trek Year Four: The Enterprise Experiment #5, and shortly after that on the 5-issue series Star Trek: The Last Generation. I also inked 2 ink sample pages over vellum as displayed at my website's commissions section, final page (Vintage Ink Sample Art, pt 2).

I inked the page with markers (micron markers, Kuretake disposable brush pen fine, Zebra disposable brush pen fine, Pilot Shunpitsu Pocket Brush Pen hard & soft and a Pentel Fude Sign Pen) and black ink finger prints. The board was a bit textured instead of smooth so it's always a challenge getting clean lines and there's some minimal ink bleeds. I finished this page October 29, 2025.
