I was probably not in the original demographic for the wonderful Adventure Time cartoon but, thankfully, my stepson was and we watched much of the series together over the years. The series was a showcase for some top-notch world-building and humor and made me wish there had been cartoons like it when I was growing up.

In the time since the series ended, there have been a number of alternate universe takes on Adventure Time and its characters. Many of these alternative Adventure Time series explore character pairings and themes that were heavily hinted at in the show. Cash's Adventure Time special explores an alternate universe where Princess Bubblegum and Marlene attend college together (along with Finn and Jake) and maybe, just maybe, fall in love.

Clearly the special has resonated with fans of both the series and Cash's work. The first printing sold out within days and the book is now headed for a second printing.

Happy to have picked up a page that spotlights both Marceline, shredding on her axe in the moonlight, and Princess Bubblegum. Forget Bennifer....long live Bubbline!

Major rockstar pose jamming in the moonlight on that axe! Interesting alternate universe/storyline spinning out of Adventure Time! Cool to see Cash taking on somethong a little more mainstream than usual but still with her distinct art style/flavor. seems like it is doing well based on the initial response, congrats on adding a great page from it!

The siren call of moonlight guitar shredding and Marci's rebelliousness must be what brought Princess Bubblegum to the yard. Marceline is like a 1000 year old vampire and must have got held back for a long time before going to college like how Edward was still in high school in Twilight.

I've never watched any Adv enture Time episodes, but anyone shredding with an axe guitar is a winner in my book!
