DescriptionWith Saga of the Swamp Thing #20, a virtually unknown writer from the U.K. wrote his first American comic book story, and for the first time teamed with the artistic wizardry of inker John Totleben (Dan Day filled in for penicller Steve Bissette this issue). These creators went on to create one of the most seminal and beloved runs of any horror comic ever published. By his second issue on this title, Alan Moore had ingeniously re-interpreted the origin of this character and then just a few short years later went on to create what most comic book fans and historians consider to be not only Moore's magnum opus, but arguably the single best comic book tale ever written (Watchmen), and it all started right here - with the comic these magnificent pages were drawn for!Social/Sharing |
