Description

This fun piece shows Ricky Raccoon, Bizzie Beaver, Flora Skunk and Mitzi Mink playing in a pile of leaves while some of their other friends look on . This piece was published in the November 2009 issue of "Your Big Backyard" published by the National Wildlife Federation. It was used in the story "A New Friend" written by Kathy Kranking and illustrated by Christian Slade on page 24.

A fun fact Christian told me was that in most of the stories he illustrates he tries to "include a set of twins into every story as a tip of the hat to my very own toddler twins." In this story the twins are a pair of snails on this page.
