DescriptionThis 5-piece set is cool for five reasons. (1) This is pre-"Comics Code" that was formed in 1954 (2) It is a story that ties ever slightly to baseball, which was the top sport at the time (3) It is a complete story, which is often hard to collect (4) It is LARGE art, which is the best cool to actually hold and admire the artwork from (5) It is a WW II story...which was only over for 9 years at the time this was published so still fresh on everyone's mind.Purchased from the Lewis Wayne Gallery (http://www.lewiswaynegallery.com/) and he attributed this series to Joe Certa. I've tried to further research the but wasn't able to find anything to substantiate or refute. If anyone can help me track this down more specifically, I'd appreciate the help. Social/Sharing |
