DescriptionVery early Bushmiller strip from February 16, 1927. Even at this point, some papers still gave Larry Whittington, Fritzi's originator, the byline for the strip. This was six years before Bushmiller introduced Fritzi's cheeky niece, Nancy.This strip features Fritzi's protective father and her nebbishy boyfriend, Wally. This one is unusual in that it's pantomime, and very unusual, indeed, in that it's very risqué for the comics page, even by 1920s standards: check out where Wally's hand is in the third panel! Hubba hubba! The panels have been cut apart, and the borders slightly compromised. Otherwise the drawings are in outstanding condition. The panels measure approximately 7.75" x 5.75" each.
