"MAN O' WAR and COLT" 1942 Watercolor Original painting by L. B. Cole Extremely rare piece by this comics art legend, although Cole painted just about everything. He did have a relationship with the horse Man O' War and visited him often. Beautiful detail, a scarce piece from World War Two 1942. I had the honor to visit Leonard in his latter years living in Queens and discovered his vast canon of artwork that didn't just include comic book covers. Painting size is 21" x 27" and in fine shape for 70 years old!
