DescriptionThis Sunday page was originally published in 1960. In 1977, Bushmiller reused the artwork. He left the drawings alone for the reprint, but changed the words in a strangely pointless way, typical of the way he'd obsessively tinker with his older drawings when he reused them. The original word balloons were as follows: "Look" "That's my Uncle Pete" "He's the bravest man in the zoo" "Wow – What a man" "Yep --- He doesn't fear any animal". So strange that Bushmiller spent the time to make such seemingly pointless changes.I usually stay away from the Sundays, but the animal drawings in this one are superb. Social/Sharing |

I can see taking out the "Uncle Pete" part so it asks less questions and is more pure in its effect.
