Description

This recreation is reproduced in the limited edition book on Alex Schomburg's art, Chroma, but I have been unable to find any evidence that the painting was done through Collectors Book Store or Howard Lowery. Alex Schomberg undoubtedly took a few commissions from individuals who wanted recreations of particular comic book covers. He certainly produced one recreation of a Thrilling Comics cover for a good customer of Collectors Book Store, and this painting may have come about under similar circumstances.
