Love 1-17 Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 5/12/2008 Nice pages. I'll nail down the story and issue number for you eventually. Regarding the artwork, I see Bill Draut's hand at work but I'm not sure if he did pencils, inks, or both. |

"I Loved Him Too Much!", Splash Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 5/4/2008 Interesting artwork! It's hard to say for sure, but it looks to me like Joe Certa layouts/pencils with Al Avison inking. It would be wonderful to get access to Harvey's artist payment records.... |

First Love 11-31 Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 3/20/2008 I first discovered Tom Hickey when his signature was spotted hidden in the background of the horror story "The Forest of Skeletons". I've seen his stylized initials 'TH' added to several pages. I believe he slipped these past the editors, against standard Harvey policy. Bob Powell had a special deal with the Harvey brothers, and was the only artist allowed to sign his work. |

First Love 15-14 Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 3/6/2008 Definitely Elias pencils, and probably Elias inks too. Very nice! I own a similar story that has changes indicated (for reprint) on the first page or two... but the attempt at salvaging such a salacious story was quickly abandoned. |

MIG Alley Matinee, Splash Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 2/28/2008 Nice... I've admired this story for a while now. It looks just like Toth! |

Secret Hearts by Toth Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 2/12/2008 Panel two seems to show the influence of Steranko ? It reminds me of the story he did in Marvel's Our Love Story #5. A case of one great artist being influenced by another? Great page! |

"Outsider!" Splash Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 2/12/2008 I love this story, I think it's a hard-hitting romance tale with fantastic artwork. It was a tough one to let go, but I'm happy it's found a good home. :-) |

"Too Pretty to Date" Cover Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 2/8/2008 Yes I can. :-) It is the cover from Hi-School Romance #68. A very nice Al Avison effort! |

Al Avison Romance Cover Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 12/12/2007 Nice piece! It's the original cover art for Harvey's First Romance Magazine #10. |

Obscure Romance page Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 10/7/2007 Definitely Harvey art, although I'm not sure from which title (yet). Looks like Elias pencils with Belfi inks, but I think there's a chance Kremer might have had a hand in it somewhere. A beautiful page, no matter who did it! |

Warren Kremer - One Tear Too Many - First Romance #27, April 1954 Owner: David O'Dell Comment posted on 10/5/2007 Beautiful piece! But where's the rest of the story? |

"Here Comes the Bride!" Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 9/11/2007 I loved this page. Probably Draut's best Harvey romance "filler" page. Congratulations on winning it. |

"This Love of Ours", Splash Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 6/25/2007 Is this one of Harvey's greatest romance stories? I think so! Truly sublime artwork. I was determined to win it at auction, but lost -- if you're ever ready to let it go, please think of me. Someday I must own it. :-) |

"Guts Road!", Splash Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 4/9/2007 I know the name of the man who drew these pages. He didn't do much work for Harvey, but thankfully while at Heritage I found one story where he wrote his name on the back of the art: Bill Walton. Unfortunately I don't know anything else about him. |

"My Heart Was A Runaway", Splash Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 4/9/2007 As you say, the Sink pencils are undeniable. I see the hand of Manny Stallman is also at work here. I believe panel 4 on page 4 clearly shows the influence of Stallman. Joe Simon is also represented here in the code-corrections. The man's head in panel 4 of page 3 is pure Simon. I must confess that as much as I love Manny Stallman's art, I don't think he and Sink make a good match. Still, their combined artwork produces a very interesting "atmosphere". I'd really like to see a copy of the published pre-Code story, to compare and contrast with this censored version! |

Iron Man #142 recreation Owner: Bob Layton Comment posted on 4/9/2007 A great piece. And I must add that the original version was always one of my very favorites - deadline or not! |

Humphrey #21 pg 19 Owner: Ronald Montuori Comment posted on 4/6/2007 Beautiful artwork! Heritage Comics was in the habit of crediting Al Avison with the art for all Humphrey Comics, but I believe this is actually the work of Warren Kremer (who also drew Little Max, Richie Rich, Little Dot, Hot Stuff, and many more). But no matter who drew the piece, it's definitely wonderful art. Congrats on a nice addition. |

"Light and Bold", page 1 Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 12/17/2006 Ah, Bernet... one of my favorite European comic artists. (It should be obvious why!) And a very nice example of his work. :-) |

"Bride of Loneliness" by Bill Draut Owner: Steve Coulson Comment posted on 10/26/2006 I agree, it's definitely Bill Draut. Beautiful page! |

|
"Revenge is Sweet", Splash Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 10/15/2006 Nice story! I know very little about Arnold Hicks, but I like the art - it reminds me of Harvey's Vic Donahue. It's not terribly detailed, but very competent, with wonderful layouts and a good sense of design. |

|
"Too Good at Love", Splash Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 10/5/2006 A wonderful effort by Jack Sparling with red-hot "good girl" action. And remarkably unmolested by the Comics Code. I think it's one of Sparling's best romance stories. |
||
|
"Night Shadows!", page 5 Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 10/4/2006 Very nice artwork, but I don't believe it's by Ray Baily. It looks to me like Bill Walton with Al Avison inks, attempting the Caniff-like style that Baily, Warren Kremer, and Lee Elias do so well. If Harvey genre comics had a "house look," this is it! |

|
"Wife In Name Only", page 4 (detail) Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 9/7/2006 Good eye! I'd never noticed the Eisner influence until you pointed it out, but I definitely see it now. |

True Love #53 Cover Owner: Lars Teglbjaerg Comment posted on 8/30/2006 Hi Lars, I'm pretty confident that this is NOT by Bob Powell. I suspect it's either Al Avison giving a 100% effort, or John Prentice on a bad day. |
