Great splash page and a great description. Yes, there is something about Colan's style that is just so powerful and emotional. I sometimes wonder if it was just enjoyable work for the inker, like Palmer here in this case. Anyway, the final product is groovy !

Very nice!! Makes me think of the cover to the Blue Oyster Cult album Fire of Unknown Origin. One of the best albums of all time IMO.
