Seriously, I've no idea if there was a technical term for it - but this one works really well!

I asked Bambos to make sure Deathbolt's blast was adjusted so Superman's symbol was visible - if you look at the initial layout you can see that this was a later change.

Wow - genuinely masterful work by Rick.  An absolutely superb reworking of an already-fantastic cover.  Colour me jealous!

I guess this must be the cover which was on the news-stands on Earth 2...

A great reinterpretation of a classic cover - even down to having the winged character at top left and the helmeted one at top right.  That's the level of detail that really makes it shine!

Bambos has done a great job on the 1940s Batman logo - and this project has sent me down a lot of rabbit-holes hunting out the logos for the Golden Age guest-stars!

Lovely stuff. Do I spot Mango Lad and Quicksand (among others) lurking in the background panels?

I'm my view, you can't go wrong with an obscure All-Star Squadron tie-in (assuming that's the same Spear Of Destiny as appeared in that series).  Great idea and fantastic art!
