Simple, but brilliant.  Amazing work!

Two problems with that - Doll Girl doesn't make her first appearance until 1951, so is out of scope for a series set in 1942 (though who knows what night happen if I do a time travel storyline, he said with an evil grin) - and Showcase 95 didn't have any input from Roy Thomas, and all these All-Star Squadron covers are based on comics written, plotted or scripted by Roy.  So nice idea, but I'm afraid that's not going to happen. 

That's very kind of you to say so.  Aidan's material - and Bill Cox's Suicide Squad covers - were very influential in making me think that doing something like this might be feasible.

In most cases, it's honestly no more than "which characters will work with those poses?".  But in this instance, because it's the first one of the series, and in order to show the range of characters which Roy would have had available, I deliberately opted for an All-American character (Flash), a DC character (Robotman), a character otherwise wiped out by Crisis (Wonder Woman), a Fawcett character (Captin Marvel) and a Quality character (Plastic Man) - though Plas would have been the only choice anyway given Mr Fantastic's pose on the FF cover.

Yes, I over-think these things...
