A fantastic page stuffed full of ringholders! Pasarin doesn't get enough accolades. The man has that rare blend of high-level draftsmanship and obsessive attention to detail, and he shows it all on this page.

(you may want to consider the recent French reprints called "edition prestige" that are big high quality oversized hardcovers that have no equivalent anywhere else).

It's a great page by itself with the rare Maleev physical artwork.  The added importance to WWH and the cameos put it over the top!

Fantastic page

Nguyen took a step up with this series!  Coming from the 'Lil Gotham specials, Lemire gave him a lot of serious drama and emotional scenes to draw! 

So, playing detective here. I’m about 99% sure the artist is Dan Parent and about 50% the page is from Veronica #205.

I have several pieces from Dan Parent, and I’ve read a lot of his books, and this looks like his work. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of his prelims, so that’s throwing me a little. But the way the characters standing in profile are drawn and the way Kevin Keller (last panel) is drawn make me fairly confident it’s Dan Parent.

I recently re-read the Kevin Keller 10-year anniversary compendium, and from a plot perspective, this page reminds me A LOT of Veronica #205, Kevin’s second appearance. (Betty is jealous of the time Veronica spends with new guy Kevin, but Betty and Veronica make up when Cheryl Blossom crashes Betty’s birthday party and makes a play for Archie.) The thing is… I double checked this prelim page against the final published book, and the dialogue and layout of the final issue are very different. So, either it’s a totally different issue with a similar plot resolution, or it is, in fact, Veronica #205 but the scripting and layout changed before final publication. 

The compendium I just read has all of Kevin Keller’s other major appearances from 2010-2020, and with all those comics fresh in mind, I don’t know of another issue where this page would fit in. It’s possible there’s some other issue out there that this came from that’s not in the compendium, of course!

Not only is this a beautifully written, drawn and inked issue by the team of Hickman, Yu & Alanguilan (+ colors by Sunny Gho) and one of my favourite comic books ever (the cover being my phone lock screen for years). It is also the last work done by Alanguilan before he sadly passed away in 2019. Long live Gerry!

I have a page from this issue too and was totally excited about it for the same reason despite it also being a series of costumeless talking head panels. This issue and #7 have a wow factor to them that I'm still not over yet. They're fantastic examples of modern era comics. I never thought that Leinil Yu drawing a fancy dinner party would ever feel so intense.

Great sophisticated sci-fi storytelling by Hickman!  It might have been too complex for some to follow, but the Yu art kept you reading about incursions and the big wider picture of the Marvel Universe.

Sweet! I didnt know Bachalo's pencils come seaprate from inks. Good to know! And this is the way to see his art. Bare and just magical. His style is part toon, part anime and the rest of is pure ridiculousness! 

Man! I envy you! A page by my all time favorite artist! Turner died way before his time (Turner be praised!) and this page proves why. Love his forms on people, creatures, cityscapes and emotions!
