These little gems were the best part of those DC books back in the seventies. Aragones is one of the last living MAD masters and this is a stellar example of his wonderful work. Congrats!

Great splash by Budd! Other than the backup story in James Gang #1, Johnny 13 was never seen again. It's unfortunate cause I especially loved the whole mask and sexy costume. It should have had its own series. Great catch.

This piece is absolutely stunning! I remember seeing it offered on his Facebook page a while back. His charcoals tend to hit all the right elements in the world of horror and I'm blessed to say I own one. Gogos, Linda and cleopatra were all a class act that day at Heroes Con. I got chills just standing beside the same creator of all those classic FM covers! Congrats!

Yowza - how does this lil' beauty slip by without any gushing comments??? Talk about a gorgeous example from such a gifted soul! Ruth certainly had the chops to make it big but sadly things were never in line. I wished I had more time to hang out to tell what his art has meant to me. Such a cool guy!

Superb selection from an era gone by. I remember discovering this in '82 at the book trader in Rocky Mount when I was 12. The way the guy rendered women just blew me away. It was a technique like I had never seen in the world of comics and this period still continues to blow me away. Golden was not a one hit wonder.
