Oooh this is a fun one! The Simpsons humor is on full display and I love it. The fact that they worked Gil into this is the cherry on top.

These color remarks are very cool!  It looks Morrison finished it like a T-shirt design.  A lot better than the regular black marker remarks.

Great storytelling is great storytelling!  Powell never ceases to enthrall with theme and atmopshere for the Gothic horror backdrop where the Goon smashes his way through.

What a coup! This brings back happy memories as it was my first comic convention. Although the King had a presence in the programme he pulled out of attending the con and rumour has it that it was because of the escalating tension between the US and Libya in the mid-1980s which was making it increasingly dangerous for US citizens to travel to Europe especially by air. Being responsible for me and countless other British comics fans missing the opportunity to meet arguably comics’ greatest creator is one of Colonel Gadaffi’s lesser crimes in comparison to some of the other atrocities he committed. Before anyone makes any judgments about Jack Kirby not coming to the UK convention I should add that about the same time screen tough guy Sly Stallone allegedly also cancelled a European visit to promote, I think, Cobra. Given the choice of which of the two celebrities I would have preferred to have met is a no contest. It would not have been President Trump’s “Special Ambassador”. Thank you for sharing.

Very nice!  Thibodeaux's inks does a great job to tighten it up back to the 70's look. 

Even with Kirby's resentment of the character, I loved this book and was bummed that it didn't last longer than 16 issues.  It's ironic that DC cancelled his Fourth World titles to free him up (in other words, force him) to do this book, and then it gets cancelled too.  Such a waste.

Holy cow!  What an outstanding page.  Buscema is good but Chan on top just makes all Conan olympic level genius.  Comics are better than the best.  Be good to each other

There's nothing cooler than a skull character when drawn bu JB and inked by Ernie Chan.  Most inkers would just get the shape in, but Chan adds so much more sinister intent in the shadows and textures.

Great piece from Morazzo giving you an idea as to what Ice Cream Man is about. Spiders make for great cone toppers.

The stakes are too high for me to be dealt in to this table!  I heard the dealer always wins!  Morazzo's creepy Ice Cream Man aesthetic is turbo charged to add details on the backgrounds.  Lots of smiles as the players play until they're dead.
