Three great pages from a super return for Golden to The Batman........imagine if he'd been able to keep going for the entire book with inks like these first 3 pages.....wow......it would have been up there with Doctor Strange and the Avengers Annual!

This piece and Brent Andersons X-Men's Index cover featuring both incarnations of the X-Men are two of my favorite pieces ever produced featuring the assembled group. I loved this house ad, what a terrific acquisition David. A real special piece.

As few times as the King actually drew Spidey, I think that fact alone makes this a super special piece...the fact it also features the FF is an extra helping of awesome sauce!

Michael is able to figure out completely how superhero costumes would really work in real life, from crazy shoulder and knee pads to draping capes and ornately designed helmets.............here its the physics of how that skimpy costume would actually keep from falling off her body. I love the little design flourishes in the briefs and the pendant actually being shifted around by her ample chest. The fire/hair is expertly rendered as well.......great piece!

I love seeing these vintage characters getting the Golden treatment, that 70's era Magnum is spot on! This one would go well with my Marching Marvel Villain commission idea i'm playing around getting over the course of the next 10 years or so............

dude...that is tight! what an outside the box idea for a commission.... but damn if he didn't just hit it outta the park! I loved that Rick Baker design and the way it was filmed in the movie made it even creepier and incredibly ferocious. Goldens inking of textures is unparalleled, the fur and the technique used to illustrate it in this piece are incredible......great piece! Can a Golden "THING" be far off now!

i really should stop being surprised at how amazing this fellas art is, he freakin' delivers the goods on EVERYTHING he does.....every commission is better than the one before it......my god, he is only getting better! this is amazing, i'm particularly loving the cross hatched work on the eyes......so subtle, just a wonderful piece! another winner for you Rich! I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this piece of art...........the Defenders fighting the wrecking crew by sal buscema is one of my earliest recollections of reading comics when i was a kid, it took 25 years to find out what finally happened in part two of that sucker.....good times!

this and the "Marching Marvel Confusion" piece are the two most influential comic illustrations i've ever seen. they continue to inspire me to this day. i can't imagine actually having this up on my wall. you lucky bastard.

craig, this piece is absolutely beautiful! the sharks, rays, whales gliding by overhead are amazing! the octopus and the cuda are just awesome. its a remarkable piece! you my friend can't even phone a 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 inch trading card in without putting everything you've got into it. stunning.
