Seeing this for the first time. Just great in idea and execution. I love the original MK 23 cover (heh heh), and I love this too!

Fun fact-this had no background for the Wizard cover, so Jim pencilled and inked the background later. I inked the Superman figure only, the rest is all Jim!

How did I never comment on this? BEAUTIFUL page from a great issue. I think I tried to get this included in a trade with David many years ago but couldn't make it work (although I did get a nice DD/Bullseye page from the same issue instead). Keeper page for sure.

This must be one of those rare Hush pages with no inker. Cool! LOL

Artistically, these pages are as good as it gets when it comes to Golden. On par with any of his other seminal work, including the Austin inked Doctor Strange 55, Star Wars, and Gil inked Avengers Annual 10. Great pages.

Terrific rough. This story was shaping up to be an Adams masterpiece before he bailed midway. Too bad he didn't ink the pages that were completed as well.

Of course you are correct! Adams was one of the 'other' inkers involved for sure, starting with this page, and sprinkled throughout the the rest of the back end of this story. The last page, the 'hands page', has clear Adams inks on the last panel (but hard to say if the ENTIRE panel is Adams inks without seeing the original), but it looks like the top panel is Reese on inks. Anyway, cool page you have there. Always loved to see Adams ink Kane, as he did in Blackhawk and that nice story in House of Secrets (the issue number escapes my memory at the moment).

Adams was on fire at the when he was doing these Tomahawk covers. I think all of Adams western work was incredibly strong, including the Weird Western Tales stuff.

Defintely one of the best pages from the series!
