You know Ken I have to agree with you about Tim Sale, I'm not much of a Batman and Superman fan myself, but I think Tim and Joseph produced some really inspiring and intelligent work with these two modern American mythological icons. I own one piece by Tim and I am always impressed with the flowing grace of his penmanship.

I love all of these portraits of literatures most disfunctional family, Farel Dairymple has created a very tongue in cheek and humorous series of paintings while at the same time capturing the essence of each of the Endless. Thanks for introducing me to an artist I was not previously aware of.

What a wonderful page, It also brings back so many childhood memories for me as well. I think i was 9 years old when this came out and i still have the Marvel Uk edition of this issue it cost 10p back in 77 or 78 and had a great little cardboard cut-out X-wing fighter as a free gift, unfortunately the X-wing has been missing in combat for many years now Thanks for sharing. How I'd love to own a page from the first 10 issues that serialized 'Episode IV A New Hope' or as it was simply known as then 'STAR WARS'.

You can almost feel the storm coming of the page, great storytelling both in the text and artwork. Marc Hempel was the perfect choice of artist for The Kindly Ones.
