This comic was a great one-shot and this is a cool splash. Love seeing the original pencils for it.

This page is gorgeous, by the way. The whole thing is great but the second panel packs so much into it. The atmosphere on this page is fantastic and I'm always here for some Summers family drama. Really great piece.

Gene Ha gave this book a really unique look during the height of hyper exaggerated physiques in 90s comics. I really liked how complex and detailed his character designs and environments were in this series.

I've had Thunderhorse stuck in my head all day and was curious if any Dethklok art existed here. This fucking rules! Nice.

This was a really great quiet moment and it's been a little surprising how few of those there were in this era. It came across really well that Jean and Lorna have known each other for a long time and the melancholy of this scene was beautifully rendered.

Cassara's art is so nice up close. His inks are very cool to pore over. Not only does this page have the team, a very cool shot of Forge, and some very pretty Cyclops hair, but it also features Chicago's very own Woofer in the top left panel. He has a fun, if kinda unfortunate, power and I wouldn't be mad if he turned up in more books haha.

Love that 90s drip and this is some fantastic catty Charles/Erik dialogue. I really like Magneto's relaxed posture compared to Xavier's more rigid and defensive body language.

I'm generally pretty mixed on the 90s, having come into it during Onslaught and the Clone Saga of all things, but Nicieza really put out some bangers in that era. The layout of this is great and I really like that inset border a lot.

This is just missing a bowl of laksa (the nephews are probably getting that for him with a $5 SGD bill) but this is a really clever sketchbook idea. The gold ink is obviously very fitting haha.

I really enjoyed how messed up the renegade X-Men were in this era. This is a beautiful spread and a great story moment between these two characters.

James Howlett, Governor-General of the Dominion of Canada, Viceroy of Her Majesty's Expedition to Shangri-La, possessor of an Adamantine--metal of the Gods!--skeleton, and Hercules' Cool Boyfriend is probably the funnest and best alternate reality Wolverine. When Marvel killed off 616 Logan and brought in alternate reality Wolverines to replace him like 5 minutes later, this is the guy they should have used.

Nice set of pages! Pak's X-Treme run was very fun.

This was a killer issue of Hickman's run and this is a killer cover. Awesome.

That's awesome that this has so much significance: personal, cultural, and historic. Writing a story about the road to queer acceptance in a very mainstream comic strip back in '93 is definitely admirable.

I've also got a lot of memories of bag milk and digging through Saturday papers for the colour comic strips too so this was a very cool trip through memory lane. Kudos on your eventual museum plans but hopefully you'll have many years of enjoyment first!

Super cool seeing Pia Guerra's take on the Bachalo costume! I think this is visually and narratively the best Cyclops look but it's a bit of a rarity since the X-Men are mostly associated with their Jim Lee designs. Love seeing art of this design.

I recognized this page right away because Uncanny #337 was one of the first comics I ever bought as a new release instead of something I dug out of a quarter bin. I remember $3 CAD feeling like a lot of money for a comic back then haha. Nice pickup, this was a fun slice of life issue.

Saw this and immediately thought "just look at what we have made." This is a really fantastic and already iconic page and such an important one from HoX/PoX. Nice one!

The Thief artifact armour in Final Fantasy XI looks really close to this and artifact sets were meant to resemble very classic FF aesthetics. The Rogue class from FFXIV definitely took some inspiration from FFXI and this as well. Really cool seeing a piece of classic Amano Final Fantasy stuff on here!

Oh hey, I was at that panel at SDCC too! I actually ended up taking home a page from the FBCD book instead of this one because I wanted Josh  Cassara's rendition of the 90s Cyclops costume. It's great this one ended up with you. I really liked how Jean wordlessly gets the visor back to Scott on this page, no verbal communication needed with those two. Josh was such a nice guy to talk to as well.

Oh man, this is one of my favourite X-Men issues ever. The "and what remains of me thinks: Lucifer was an angel too" line from this issue lives in my head rent-free haha. Awesome that you have a page from this one, excellent choice!

When I was eight, a classmate lent me a tape of the Phoenix and Dark Phoenix sagas from the animated series and those are what got me hooked on all this X-nonsense. Love seeing this Dark Phoenix cel.

Love the choice of having the optic blast tint the rest of the image red. Great commission and the colours are really well done.

Also hey there page cousin! I have page 4 from this book and it's been fun spotting where the other pages have landed. This is a great, dramatic page.

This is such a recognizable cover. Whenever I think of this arc this is the image that comes to mind. I have the hardcover that uses this as the cover art as well haha. It must be awesome looking at it up close and it must have been exciting to get it.

From Morrison's run onwards, Cyclops gets such an interesting, tragic, slow burn character arc and it felt really rewarding as a reader. I was happy to have him back in the HoX/PoX reboot (well, slightly before) and I'm glad the X-line is going strong again. Especially if we get art like this!

I love that you got Looney Tunes Panther (and his mighty powers of ESP!) in that last panel haha. I love the Marvel Knights era and Priest's Black Panther was one of its best parts. Great page from a really great run. 

We met briefly at SDCC outside of the art preservation panel! Your Alex Ross collection is amazing but I think I might be most jealous of this haha. The thermodynamic miracles moment! I actually was rewatching the HBO series recently and when Laurie bitterly refers to thermodynamic miracles on the show I was thinking of this exact page. Dang, nice.

Oh nice, you got the "DIE DIE DIE" page haha! This was a really memorable page from this issue.

I really like how Josh Cassara draws the Stark Sentinels as really wide, chunky Iron Men (Mans?). They're almost kind of... friendly looking and the comics have made the point that the general Marvel public finds them appealing for that reason--which Tony Stark finds completely revolting. Anyways, super cool page and I'm looking forward watching these Sentinels getting disintegrated over the next few months.

Cyclops killing himself by getting blasted into the vacuum of space was one of the most memorable parts of this run for me. Awesome page.

This is especially cool considering how rare it is for Jeff Smith's Bone artwork to be out there in the wild. Neat story behind it too!
