I don’t have the same feelings about your page as you do but I do see that the bottom panel is a beautiful and delicate artwork (and the top panel portrays the destructiveness of war). My copy of The Red Diary is in someone else’s house at the moment; the next time I visit them I will have to pick it up and read it.  Yes, the bottom panel is something else.
