This is a fine Rampaging Hulk page. There was something about how the creators approached the character in the black-and-white magazine that I found fascinating. Also, setting the stories in the early days of Marvel history somehow made them more accessible and interesting to me than the regular monthly comic. The issue with the original Avengers was particularly memorable. Cheers!

Great magazine era greytones!  A Hulk vs alien transformation to Hulk page is something that would grip the wider magazine audience.  The Avengers appearing is rare for these books.

Endless wild textures all over Rhino by Tom Fowler as the figure covers so much space on this composition!  Spidey eyes look like the Zeck style, all bugged out after getting squashed!

Rhino getting the upper hand on Spidey makes for a fun commission prompt and this one is super cool! Spidey looks like he was crushed considering the amount of rubble he is currently laying in! great piece!

I really really like how Tom Fowler drew the Rhino here.   The whole piece is so well drawn.  Dang, Spidey, that's gonna hurt in the morning!

Incredibly stylistic.  The linework seems so frenetic, yet incredibly composed.  Oversized villains like Juggernaut, Abomination, and Rhino are so fun to draw.  I love this piece!

Fowler's style is soooo good and he really knocked this commission out of the park, much like Rhino knocked out Spidey! Congrats!!

a beasty BEAST indeed by Canete who leans into the monster side of his design rather than the intellectual professor and it works really well here. cool to see his pencil lines still visible throughout as well and not completely erased. nice pickup!

Thanks Hulk, I agree - so much storytelling through the expressions on their faces! Modok always looks super-shifty, as does The Leader, but how often do you get to see Banner this smug and sinister? He's a badass on this page - I mean, WHO does this to DOOM?! I'm amazed that DD hasn't made Banner pay for this humiliation, which is far worse than anything Reed Richards has done to him!
