One of the greatest Sandman stories... I recall a couple of lines, "You don't have to stay anywhere forever" and "Let's see what life got to offer us", like some of the best of the whole cycle. Even after so many years, those kids still a refreshing company when I feel sad. Great page.

Art from this series is a cut above recent comic production by Wrightson - it looks like he's going back to his older style, and sometimes, to look back is a good idea. Central panel is shot from a great angle, and the whole page have a clear Frankenstein feeling to me, maybe for the very detailed inks. Another beautiful page in a great collection - congrats. Furthermore, I really like your descriptions.

Around this page I can smell here the very very thin air that surrounds the impossible heights of late Kirby art. It's a blasphemy to say that his 70's work was better than the 60's? Maybe it's just me - but it's just like with the Beatles: I prefer "Let it be" to "Love me do". Great story in your description. Thanks for sharing.
