Bradshaw draws a great Thing, too, with the "missing" rock plates allowing extra opportunity for Nick to show off with some beautiful texturing.... although there's no lack of texture here - gadzooks! This feels almost like a Kirby collage (or love letter to them), with pictures of villains cut out and glued down so Ben can knock them out. -SUCH- a great (almost celebratory) piece, perfectly fitting the occasion of a #1 issue (and Clobberin' Time in general). Nick knocked it out of the park (who -wouldn't- buy this issue?!?) and it landed in the perfect collection to spotlight it. Serious congrats, Chris! Rock on! Did you exclaim, "IT'S COMMENTIN' TIME!"? |
