Ah, Chewie, Chewie, Chewie, Chewie, Chewie, Chewie, Chewie, Baby
Always got an artful of those sweet things in May
Chewie, Chewie, Chewie, Chewie, Chewie, Chewie, Chewie, Baby
Chewie's full berserker, a black mark on his race

Ah, ooh, I love stormtroopers
Love two monsters, love two miners
Love the quota, love a smuggler like I do
Ooey little Chewie
Don't know that you inventory
But you do it Wookie what I want you to

Ooh Chewie
Hey! Hey!
Do, do-do, do, do
Do, do-do, do, do

When Han's asleep and Chewie is at the controls on a cross system smuggling run, this is clearly what is blasting in the Falcon's cockpit. And he dreams of finding a Wookiee sized pair of those striped pants.

Simonson did all of the pure Star Wars fill-in transition pages, so no argument there. I also think Milgrom inked most of those, while Palmer focused more on the effort of all the cutting/pasting/Frankensteining of the original Infantino pages to add the revised Star Wars elements. So i too would have guessed Milgrom.

I suspect if the Storm overlay art were still with it, it might have done better. But with so many coming out of the Palmer estate also featuring panels with Belasco, Storm, and Kitty, I also think it might have floated under the radar a bit.

Awesome gift!!! I love Iban's true blue pencils on this title. Would be interesting to see the final inked versions but the pure line art is just so nice especially in this medium.

Between a very interesting Star Wars Celebration already wrapped up from Japan, the 3 episode premire of Andor Season 2 (which I freaking loved and thought was amazing so far), Tales Of the Underworld premiering on May 4 and a month of Star Wars festivities still to come I'm feeling like Star Wars Month definately started about a week and a half early this year. I might have to start my sharing a little early as well. Thanks for the nudge!

I am not sure if any of Sergio's art is out in the wild. And before now, I've never made a concerted effort to look for it. It seems he does have a website with examples of his inked pages posted. I may have to try that contact button some day and see if he still has them, and if any might be available.

A great page featured in today's CAF Roundup. And always a pleasure to circle back to this treasure trove of a gallery of vintage Star Wars pages.  I loved Cynthia Martin's work, especially the return of Lumiya and her reveal as Shira Brie. Cynthia's fresh style dovetailed nicely with watching Robotech each afternoon during my last days of junior high in the spring of '85. Ah, those were the days.

What can I add to those who've already commented but X-ceptional! The first thing I zoomed in on was the top margin dialogue, even before that last panel. Which is fine, because then it gave me plenty of time afterwards to just stare at that last panel. The only thing missing is an Imperial star destroyer. Then again, probably just right without one. Congrats!

This is a fun page with such a unique twist on Batman’s origin, offering an intriguing alternative dynamic that adds a fresh layer of depth to the classic story. The emotional weight of the scene, with Bruce struggling with his parents' death while Barbara and her dad share a quieter, more personal moment, is really felt through the art.

Your nostalgic connection to this era of Batman is felt by many collectors. There’s something special about revisiting these moments from your youth, especially when it aligns with a story like this that might have never seen the light of day, and even more so when it comes at a price that hits right in the sweet spot! Kudos, Jeff!

I've now been going back through the Heritage finished auctions and pulling their scans of other pages from this story. So far, I've found pages 4 through 17. Hopefully they post the rest, as I'd like to be able to read the full issue. It is an interesting take on the character.

What an awesome surprise from Eranga! You got not just one, but two incredible pieces featuring Shira Brie/Lumiya, which is such a great way to celebrate your favorite OG Marvel Star Wars character. Two for the price of one is always better, right?

Eranga always shows how grateful he is for all the support everyone has given him during his journey towards artististic super stardom. Not only by verbally telling people, but also by showing it through his work with the obvious dedication he puts into his commissions.

I 100% agree. And for anyone that wants to see Eranga's take on Lumiya at a larger scale, here's another commissioned piece he did for me a couple years back. He's come a long way since then, might be time for another 11x17 sized piece soon. The Silver Surfer piece he showed on his socials today was incredible.

My Hembeck card book isn't yet complete, but near enough now that I'm targeting some very specific cards to fill it out. While I wait for a chance to bid on them, I've started a new card book that I'm going to fill with cards by folks I know from the OA community, be they artists or otherwise. But everyone has to draw something, even if just a stick figure. These will fit in nicely with my Sharon Snyder cards, one of which was my OAX card commision last year. Speaking of which, I don't think I ever posted those. Perhaps tomorrow's additions!
