I first saw this image in an ad inside Comic Scene magazine way back in 82-83ish. The image was seered in my mind! Caused me to explore Dredd through the Titan reprints and I was hooked.

I loved Adams on X-men and I really loved this image.  So much so that I swiped it and drew it on the cover of a Pink Floyd mix tape I made in the 80s. "Set the Controls for The Heart of the Sun"

Every page from this issue is a masterpiece. This sequence really provided the background that helps create the pathos of this giant character. As a reader we are completely torn by love and hate.
