This Frazetta pen and ink in particular inspired me deeply as a youth. Anatomy, composition and an octopus.... One really can't ask for more from a piece of Art!

Man this Swordquest stuff is enthralling! I've never even heard of this comic before and I am compelled to get it! Perez has a great "operatic" feel for high fantasy storytelling and the rich detail is incredible!

Astounding as usual, Joe! The facial expression, the body language, the Hyborean design, and the gloomy rainy atmosphere are all sheer perfection. That left hand and the expert foreshortening of the left arm are testament to your mastery. You have given us more than a painting of Conan; truly a portrait of a flesh and blood man. I remember this! I had a copy as a kid but haven't seen it in YEARS! The unique illustration is quite riveting and well done, definitely influencing how I see Conan.
