Bittersweet! Two great titans of the industry - Mike Zeck and Jerry Ordway working on this beautiful cover on the one hand; and the signal of the end of a 100-issue run by this character - all 100 issues I bought when they came out. Happy to see this, but sad to revisit it!

Haven't checked CAF for a while but it's great to see this piece, which sort of summarizes in one image all the good things of the early Azrael issues which got me hooked to this book. Nice acquisition!

When you left a comment on my CAF, I decided to check yours and nice to find this gem from my countryman Alfredo Alcala, who should be rightfully remembered as a great artist (and not just the genius fast inker) - and this piece puts his talents on full display!

Nothing quite like owning a Kitson Azrael cover. The early O'Neil/Kitson run is one of the more memorable but underrated ones in DC Comics 1990's lore.
