Can't tell you how pleased I've been with my Gil Kane haul this year! Some amazing head sketches worthy of a Renaissance Master, this beauty and a Silver Age Metal Men battle page which is so much fun it shouldn't be legal!

Amazing page. Some great Supes poses and I'm loving the quick-change sequence! I also happen to have a page with Supes plugging up an active volcano, lucky me!

I couldn't agree more - for me, Kane ranks right up there with Kirby, Ditko, Big John Buscema and Neal Adams as one of the greatest draughtsmen in comics history. There is no-one to match him for sheer dynamic storytelling, and sketch sheets like this show he knows his drawing from the inside out.

This is probably the best page of the whole book - amazing content, SO many wicked visual gags. Absolutely classic stuff! 

Congrats for hunting this treasure down - I saw and had a go at bidding for this a few years back on Heritage, and it went out of my range even then. But it's graphic comedy genius, one of the coolest pages which DC have ever printed, and I know it's gone to a great new home. And I shall be happy for it to reside with the one you got from me!

Thanks for showing the Bennett/Ewing love, T! Totally agree - for me, Immortal Hulk is his most epic and emotional run, almost impossible to follow - which is perhaps why we got the nonsense of Starship Hulk immediately afterwards. 

This is actually my favourite page of the entire arc, defining the trauma and tragedy of the Hulk in just a few powerful panels. I'm lucky enough to have both penciled and inked original versions, both of which are amazing.

Hayden really does put so much work into every panel - many artists would have used a stat for those first 2 panel poses, but not Hayden! This is a real labour of love, and a joy to both read the story and view the art. Amazing in colour, near indescribable in black and white. Incredible score.
