I believe the proper term is Triple Wrap-Around Cover !!! It's a keeper. Ed actually had all 12 (?) issues connect to make a gigantic poster. You have one of the "rows". This is a perfect example of why Ed was one of the best cover designers in the 1980's, working for both Marvel and DC. Congratulations on a great addition to your collection. Cheers! N.

What took you so long to post this baby? Whatever people may think of the artists, this certainly hits the nostalgic sweet spot for many fans and collectors. Even with Deadpool overtaking Cable in popularity, I think most fans would covet this cover over NM 98. Love the bonus UPC box art. Lol. Cheers! N.

When you have a story featuring Bizarro, you know it's going to be fun. You can tell Kuder had a great time with the cover and the interiors. The fact that the cover image was intentionally drawn to be displayed upside down is just ....... bizarre ...... but classic. Cheers! N.

While this may have started off as a 1 shot storyline, it certainly blossomed into a full fledged comic running for years. It always starts off with a great story and great art. Congratulations as this is probably a grail for many collectors. Cheers! N.

Fred, you have great taste in art. Tony Daniel knew this would be the last issue from volume 1 and went all out depicting the entire bat team. I love how everyone is flowing and now just standing around in a typical pin up pose. Fantastic addition to your collection. Cheers! N.

Will Eisner was just a master storyteller and a pretty darn good artist and designer. The younger generation doesn't realize that Eisner influenced guys like Frank Miller. It's pages like these in your vintage collection that allow people to get a glimpse of truly legendary creators and the art they left behind. Gene Day was primarily known as an inker before coming into his own as a penciller after Mike Zeck left the series. A tremendous talent that died at an early age. This is a fantastic cover. As a MOKF fan, I appreciate you sharing the art as more people need to know about Gene Day's contribution to comics and the title. Cheers! N.

Jeff does a nice job inking over a blue line copy of Finch's pencils. Scott Williams inked the original pencils for the published cover. You can see a pic posted by Scott in his CAF gallery.

Looking back, the cover was pencilled in the same style as the rest of FM's run on Daredevil. What amazed me was the inks all done in the cross hatching style. I can recall how cool it looked then. At first glance, anyone who saw Paul's work thought it was "simple". What they didn't realize was Paul's amazing ability to illustrate mass and motion. Phoenix looks like she's floating in air as she should be. I also wish Paul's run was longer but appreciate the legacy that he left behind. A great pick up. Cheers! N.

For me, the Silver Age of comics came down to 2 artists: Kirby (Marvel) and Infantino (DC). From the multi-figures to give the illusion of speed, Carmine of course was the definitive Flash artist whose influence still inspires artists today. A great example in his prime period. Cheers! N.
