Comic Art Fans Update 214

We run down all the popular artworks posted to CAF between September 23-29, 2024, and also review highlights from sales reported from original Comic Art Dealers and Auction Houses for the same periods.

I've selected 10 auction lots this week from show sponsor Heritage Auctions current Weekly Comic Art Auction that I've chosen to feature. We get things started with two superlative lots by artist Edvin Biukovic - a Grendel Tales page and classic 9-panel Human Target page. Next we have a published Bob Burden Flaming Carrot Comics page from 1990, and there were a couple FC commissions in this week's Heritage Auctions as well. There is also this Kirby'esque Avengers #255 page by John Buscema, a Twin Earths daily from 1962 by Al McWilliams, a Ron Lim and Terry Austin What If #22 page featuring the Silver Surfer, a Joe Kubert and Russ Heath Sgt Rock and Jeb illustration, a great DPS featuring Superman getting clobbered from Tony Daniel and Danny Miki, a Basil Gogos Man's Illustrated Magazine Cover painting, a pair of Jim Lee sketches including one of a hotdog, and lastly a page from Lucifer #14 by Dean Ormston. Something for everyone's taste in this weekly Heritage auction!
