DescriptionSimon Hanselmann is a Tasmanian comic creator who has become a bit of a sensation in recent years winning awards, accolades and praise from just about everyone. Although his art and humor may not be universally appreciated, there is a lot more to his work. It is humanistic and we piece together characters dealing with relationships, sexuality, abuse, addiction, mental health issues, social issues and life in a way that is painfully honest and at times stripped bare of all pretext. The characters are superficially derivative of a popular children's cartoon, Meg, Mog and Owl but reinvented in this strip that started as a web comic.I have added a few detailed scans in additional images so you can see the art better. The overall size of the page is about the same as an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper but on art board. Social/Sharing |
