Description

Here's the framed version of Prince Valiant from December 17, 1944 along with the Medieval Castle of the same day, which ran beneath Prince Valiant from April 23, 1944 - November 18, 1945. I'm also posting higher-res images of each of them so you can really zoom in and enjoy.

IMO, this is about as pretty as it gets for Prince Valiant - big, bold imagery with striking inks and dynamic use of light and shade to create depth and mood. Wow.

In a house with all girls, I'm not sure how long this one is going to last on my office wall. I'm fairly certain princes dragging queens around by their hair is not exactly condoned these days.
