Description

Follow up to the Shadow War of Hawkman mini-series, Hawkman continues to fight against his fellow Thanagarians as they secretly attempt to invade Earth. Classic Silver Age Hawkman Villain, the Shadow Thief (from Hawkman's 3rd Silver Age appearance) has been recruited by the Thanagarians - his visual appearance is always striking in its simplicity.

Howell's rendition of Hawkman and Hawkgirl are my favorites and I found this run of Hawkman the best that's been done to-date - Isabella brought a focus to what made Hawkman different: his and Hawkgirl's relationship, their origins from another planet, and the mix of brains and brawn (the former of which seemed to be forgotten by some authors).

Thrilled to get one of the covers for this run.
