Description

Maybe it’s because I was born during the 1970s disco boom and the music was everywhere during my early years, but I have an appreciation for the disco genre. I grew up with my mother frequently calling “Saturday Night Fever” one of the greatest movies ever made. As a teenager in the 1990s, I was listening to the Bee Gees and Donna Summer alongside Nirvana, Boyz II Men and other groups that were huge at the time. So maybe that helps to explain why I love Dazzler’s original costume so much. When it came time to try my luck at the most recent Comic Art Live Mystery Sketch opportunity, I decided to go with Alison Blaire in her original costume. Sanya Anwar did not disappoint. I’m thrilled to have this piece in my art collection.
