My Favorite Artwork Gallery(*) : Awesome, apparently... APARO
Although he's known for some of his work for Charlton, Jim Aparo is associated with several DC Comics characters. Namely, Batman, the Spectre, Phantom Stranger, Aquaman and Deadman. He was able to make "talking heads" seem interesting and was more than able to make an explosive scene more dramatic. In his "prime", Aparo inked his own pencils and did his own distinctive lettering so we knew he was in total control of how the story appeared on the page.
