All-Star Squadron 31 Cover - Jerry Ordway

This cover was featured in:
- Amazing Heroes #36 p42 Dec 1983
- All-Star Companion Vol 2 [Twomorrows] p75

Not only one of my favorite All-Star Squad covers but one of my top 1980's DC Covers. Cover dated March 1984 but as was normal back then on sale 3 months prior - I still remember first seeing it my local comic store in late Dec 1983 - Wow, I can't believe that was 30 [edit: now 35 40] years ago.

This one pretty much has it all as retro 1940's DC [and Quality] goes; All-Star Squadron, JSA, Freedom Fighters; Batman, Superman, Hawkman, Uncle Sam, Black Condor, Liberty Belle, Plastic Man, Crimson Avenger, Star Spangled Kid, Phantom Lady, Johnny Quick, The Ray, Green Arrow, Sandman

Ordway's Earth II [the real one]/Golden Age Superman is outstanding. Sure wish we had got to see more of him by Ordway in the title....

Folks a reminder, Please don't sell yourself short, and give up 15-20% of our sale to an auction house - I will pay top dollar for Buckler/Ordway All-Star Squad art from the preview + issue #4.

A fantastic piece in a fantastic collection of pieces. This is such a memorable cover with so many great heroes. Having Uncle Sam in the background pointing at the viewer is so powerful and a wonderful cover.
