Description

Instead of poker playing dogs, we have this painting of monsters playing poker. Richard Bober was doing the paperback covers for the series of Alfred Hitchcock anthologies in the 1960s—'70s. This was, to our knowledge, never used; a similar idea, this time with the same monsters in a bar ran instead. It's a dark painting and hard to see in the repro, but it's funny: from the Mummy pulling cards from his bandage to the heat/smoke rising from the Invisible Man's head it all combines to make us grin...
