Description

I really enjoyed penciller Mark Pajarillo's work in the mid 1990s, but he seemed to disappear from the comics industry as the 21st century got underway. A little online research reveals he's delved into the world of digital art, specifically for video games and the like, according to his resumé.

I really like the personality and detail in his style, which is apparent on this page. I specifically like the touches on the heroes' costumes. He includes creases in the "fabric" that make them actually look like clothing rather than second skins. The heroes aren't portrayed as lumbering, muscle-bound bodybuilders either, and the background detail is convincing.

The fourth panel features some correction art, used to make the Atom's microscopic storage space smaller so the lettering doesn't cut it off or obscure it.

Nice page with Ray and the 2nd gens. Mark had a good eye for these quiet pages
