A commission from Bill. When asked to do a Corto Maltese commission Bill was interested. He knows the character well and mentioned he had met Hugo Pratt at Lucca the year he won the Yellow Kid Award for Elektra Assassin. I enjoyed hearing the description of the interaction.

Of my recent Sienkiewicz pieces, this is my favorite. I love the character Corto Maltese. Bill "gets" the character and produce such an iconic image which is distinctively Sienkiwicz but very respectful of the work of Hugo Pratt.

How to gather the full legende of Corto Maltesse in one comission. Congratulations this is pretty amazing art. Much better than the previous one from Sienkiewicz that I found pretty anoying for a commission.
