Description

This one is pretty straight forward. Attempting to try and recreate something by Todd McFarlane truly kills me a little each time as I am such a HUGE McFarlane fan. If not for picking up this very issue of Spiderman, I might have never even tried drawing comic related stuff again. I had gotten out of collecting for a long time, as well as trying to draw superheroes, until I nabbed the entire Torment storyline in a collector set. I was blown away! This cover and that amazing DPS to start the story (that I just recreated as well) just cemented Todd's place as my favorite artist of all time! Then when I got to meet him at MegaCon in Orlando, Florida in '96 (and actually got to sit with him for a while at his table while he signed and sketched and hung out with him for a while after the day at the show), I realized that he was a great talent, as well as a great person. Sometimes meeting your hero is a letdown, but I was honored, and truly feel that my life changed after getting to meet the "great and powerful Todd"! Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain...
