Not a cat person but I like the overall impression of this piece. Not a big fan of the published cover. The coloring job did nothing to enhance the black and white art.

See the additional image for the published cover. It's a been worked over a little from the original. The production department probably statted this piece and moved around certain elements to create the published image. In the original with the lettering at the top, the image area is actually taller than the standard 10 x 15.

Very few artists--if any--were as good at cover design as Cardy, and this is a great example of why he was so good. Congrats on an amazing pick-up!
