Description

To commemorate the release last month of the Conan-Red Nails Original Art Archives, I'm posting another page of my work w/ BWS from Rune. Barry and I produced 250 pages of art together so what's posted here is only the tip of the iceberg. I collect these original art reproduction books and love them all, especially my teacher Joe Kubert's Tarzan. But Red Nails is the single most elaborately illustrated comic story of all time and this book makes that obvious. The work is beautifully reproduced here and is so detailed that it's hard to believe it's actual size. It still looks reduced because the detail in the faces and elsewhere appears impossible to do at that size! It's a truly amazing art book! Barry really should draw some more comics.
