DescriptionI'm so embarrassed, but I'm only vaguely sure this sketch is by Kilian Plunkett, known for his Star Wars work for various Dark Horse comics. It's been so long since I got this sketch, I'm really not sure. A review of other Plunkett work on CAF indicates he signs his sketches with a "K" in a small box, with the year, elements that are lacking here. If anyone has any information to offer about it, send me a message. It's a shame I'm not certain of the provenance of this sketch is how the artist distinguished this moment from Star Wars Episode I with a goofy word balloon. The juxtaposition of a brutal demise and an absurd comedic element help set this sketch apart for me -- and it reinforced my feeling the theme was a good idea for the sketchbook. Obtained at Comic-Con International San Diego in 2000. Social/Sharing |
